Canada Express Entry
Canada’s Express Entry system launched in 2015 to streamline immigration for skilled workers. It’s basically a way to organize applications for several immigration programs under one system.
Here’s how it works: you submit your profile to join a pool of candidates. The system then scores everyone using something called the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), giving you points out of 1200 based on your qualifications.
The Express Entry system covers three main programs:
To even enter the pool, you need to qualify for at least one of these programs.
What You Need to Know
Once your profile is in the pool, keep it updated and look for ways to boost your score – this gives you a better shot at getting picked! If selected, you’ll get an invitation to apply for permanent residence. Then you’ll need to back up everything with proper documents like reference letters, identity papers, police clearances, and medical exam results.
Most Express Entry candidates need:
- A college or university degree
- Experience in a skilled job
- Good English or French skills
